Therapeutic Pedicure
Examination of the feet
Cleansing the feet with the use of warm foot spa
Filing and shaping of nails and cuticles
Removing and smoothing coarse, dry skin from calluses
A foot massage to relax and to promote good circulation
Sports Pedicure
As above, but with this rigorous treatment nails are kept shorter, a little more work on callous work is done and the massage is more intense. Refreshed and rejuvenated, your feet are all set for your next Marathon.
Paraffin wax Pedicure
As for the Therapeutic Pedicure, but after the massage warm wax is applied to the feet. This treatment helps improve circulation to both feet and legs. People with arthritis will benefit as the heat from the wax will ease aches and pains, and stiffness of the joints will be relieved. This treatment is also excellent for the hands, the benefits being:
A deep cleanse caused by sweating
Nerve endings soothed
Skin texture and colour are improved due to increased circulation
Aches and pains are eased by heat
Manicure
Consultation to assess the condition of hands and nails
Hands are cleansed using an antiseptic lotion
Nails are filed and then soaked in warm water
Cuticles are pushed back or trimmed if required
Hand and arm massage given to relax and stimulate circulation
After care advice is provided so that hands may be kept in their best possible condition and shape
Paraffin wax Manicure
The application and benefits are the same as described under pedicure.
A paraffin Manicure may be recommended to someone who is suffering from:
Dry hands, nails and cuticles
Poor circulation
Aches, pains or stiff joints.
A Manicure once every seven to ten days is recommended to keep nails and cuticles in their best possible shape but try to have the treatments as often as possible. It is advisable to have a Pedicure once every four to six weeks, thus maintaining nails and the overall look of your feet.
